Why it's different

A revision library, or a system that adapts.

Adaptive assessment. Koncepts marks practice and exam answers against the markscheme, pinpoints the exact sub-skill missed (for example, never stating a judgement on “evaluate” questions), and automatically sends a follow-up assignment built for exactly that gap, with the markscheme line shown as the receipt. Revision Village’s questionbank is sorted by topic and difficulty, but the student chooses what to practise next; nothing is generated from their results.

Teacher-side integration. The Koncepts student app is the student half of the same platform IB teachers use for planning, assessment, and feedback. Students join with a class code; teacher-assigned quizzes, notes, and timed, locked-down exams appear with due dates, and results flow back to the teacher’s class view broken down by criterion. Revision Village is a standalone consumer product with no connection to the student’s school or teachers.

Strengths and weaknesses

An honest read of both.

No tool wins everything. Here is where each one is strong, and where it isn't.

Questions, answered

The details, before you ask.

Is Koncepts a free alternative to Revision Village?
For DP past-paper practice, exam simulation, AI tutoring, and EE/TOK feedback, yes, and it is free. Revision Village still offers things Koncepts does not: prediction exams, examiner-authored question banks, and video solutions.
Does Revision Village support MYP?
No. Revision Village is DP-only. MYP students looking for criterion-levelled practice and eAssessment past papers can use Koncepts free.
Which is better for DP Maths?
Revision Village's Maths question bank and videos are the category benchmark. Koncepts counters with real past papers, a reasoning-first tutor, and teacher-assigned exam practice at no cost. Many students could use both.
Does Koncepts adapt to what a student gets wrong?
Yes. Answers are marked against the markscheme, the missed sub-skill is pinpointed, and a targeted follow-up assignment arrives automatically for that gap alone. Revision Village leaves the choice of what to practise next to the student.
Does Koncepts connect to teachers?
Yes. It is the student side of the platform IB teachers use, so assigned work appears in the app and results flow back to the teacher by criterion. Revision Village has no teacher-side integration.
Can I use both?
Yes. Koncepts is free, so adding it alongside a Revision Village subscription costs nothing.
